Location: Remote (With a preference for the Tulsa, OK area)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Software QA Analyst to discover, track, analyze, and record bugs through documented testing methods. In this role you will be testing deliverables from multiple engineering teams, documenting those results, and communicating with other members of engineering and leadership on issue status through ticketing systems. This role requires expertise in manual testing (With future automation possibility), test design, understanding of databases, and eagerness to learn new technologies.
The ideal candidate is comfortable utilizing SQL to navigate through databases to test and investigate reported bugs. As a tech startup, this role may require wearing many hats and encourages eagerness to learn new systems while we develop our processes and procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, executing, and documenting tests for all engineering products. This includes but is not currently limited to Web apps, CI/CD Pipelines, SSMS & Snowflake databases, Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), as well as backend services (APIs, Jobs, etc)
- Solid understanding of SQL as several of our key duties involve managing data within databases for test cases.
- Isolative troubleshooting and root cause analysis to determine severity/scope/validity of reported bugs from other stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of proven software QA experience
- Intermediate proficiency in SQL Server including simple, to moderately complex queries
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with healthcare data, HIPAA compliance, and data security best practices
- Experience working in agile development environments with tools such as Jira
- Previous experience in a startup or fast-growing technology company
- Understanding of monitoring and logging tools (Application Insights, Prometheus, etc.)
